We have a full, state of the art, commercial kitchen for hands on cooking classes. A private meeting area for lectures and demonstrations.
My wife and I are both graduates of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
Anna worked at 103 West and Canoe in Atlanta as a pastry chef. She was Executive Chef of The Albemarle Inn in Asheville, NC. She then worked at Gabrielle's Desserts as a Pastry Chef in Marietta, GA, then we opened Canvas.
Chris worked at Seagars in Destin Florida, then Pano's and Pauls in Atlanta, GA, then Pricci in Atlanta, GA, Sous Chef at Fishbone in Atlanta, GA, then Executive Chef of Horizons in Asheville, NC, then Executive Chef of The Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. CANVAS
FARM TO TABLE
We teach how to prepare foods that you would find in the best restaurant, but we take the techniques and make them understandable and achievable at home.
We teach why organic produce, and fresh milled flours are vital to the health of children and adults. We believe in sustainable products and focus on guiding our students to buy local when possible, organic when available, and we never use processed ingredients.
We teach both cooking and baking classes, and will offer kids cooking classes with an emphasis on good food choices that taste better than the bad choices.
